Kassandra Dugi

Kassandra Dugi is a third-year PhD student in Philosophy at the University of Oxford (Jesus College). Her research focuses on ancient Graeco-Roman Stoic philosophy and classical Indian Madhyamaka Buddhist philosophy. Her thesis explores how the Stoics and Madhyāmikas conceptualise overcoming ignorance, in particular what she terms “self-ignorance”, as the cornerstone of ethical progress. She also has a particular interest in ancient theories of emotion.

Aside from being the Graduate Assistant for the Intercultural Philosophy Association, she is also president of Philiminality Oxford, a student-run platform for cross-cultural and interdisciplinary philosophy, and the Graduate Assistant for the Oxford Network for Ancient Philosophy.
